While general paints are applied to finish the products at the final process of manufacturing,
there are opposite ways of assembling coated steel plates to make products from the start.
PCM paints are coated on metal plates, which will be cut, molded and assembled to make various
products later.
It is called ¡°pre-coated metal¡± in a sense that this is a metal plate pre-coated before
processing, and the paints used for this are called as PCM Paints. Since the materials for
coating are uniform sheet, it has extremely high productivity of coating process, compared with
the case of coating on works of complex shape.
Since it is designed to coat in LINE(CCL : Continuous Coil Coating Line) with high speed, and
film thickness and baking conditions are uniformly adjusted, we can get uniform coating
performance in color and gloss after coating.
High speed of coating is on an increasing trend, and the coating speed of coating line is
developed up to 120 M/MIN. The width of coating steel sheet becomes wider at the line installed
recently. By using coated steel sheet, we can save the expense of installing coating equipments
as well as pre-treatment, and has an effect of improving the productivity. In this regard, even
building materials and electric home appliances use PCM steel plates more and more.
